"The Little Ones"

• 18 months - This is such an adorable age. Your baby is walking, talking and trying to mimic everything. They are learning new things every day and it is amazing how fast they are growing up!

• 2 years old - changes happen quickly at this age your baby has grown into their own individual with very strong opinions on what they like and what they want to do. When you are planning this portrait you should think about their likes and dislikes, is there an item that they are inseparable from (don't worry about how bad it may look - it is too important to leave out!). Sometimes this age is fun and playful or serious and solemn. Our goal will be to capture the personality of your child in a classic, artistic way!

• 3-4 years old - This age is an excellent time to capture that priceless, innocent look of childhood. Not only are they talking and can understand what is being said to them, but they will also follow directions which helps with the details in their portraits… this is a very happy age…

"The Early School Years "

• 5-6 years old - Can you believe it is time for kindergarten and 1st grade? This is an experience that you will never forget. Help your child remember it too. This time is a time of learning and maturing and we realize life gets even busier at this age, but please make time for your portraits… they will last a life time!

• 7-8- years old - This portrait should show the personality of your child, the development of their mental and physical abilities and how fun this age is! Usually this child is still willing to do things that might embarrass them in just another year or two. They know how to live, they play hard and they naturally have fun! Don't worry if they are missing teeth… snaggled tooth kids make really great portraits!

• 10-11 years old - This is the last portrait of your child… and they are probably counting down the years until they are a teenager. Admittedly, their face shape is changing, the feet are MUCH larger, the adult teeth are here and they are starting to develop real hobbies and interest. This offers you a great chance to include the favorite past-times in their portraits.

"Teenagers"

• 13 years old - This is it… finally a teenager! You might not be ready, but your teenager is looking for recognition, more responsibilities and respect. They think they are grown and they want you to admit it. Let them help plan the details of at least half of the session.

• 16 years old - Your baby is sixteen! Cherish this time. Their days could be carefree and fun filled, but they are overshadowed with peer pressure and challenges of the future. These portraits should look upbeat and stylish… but be prepared because your baby is going to look grown! We recommend that you still let them help with the planning of the session.

• 18 years old - Cars, High School Seniors, Proms, sweethearts, part-time jobs, sports, games, etc… Your child's life is so full you probably don't get to see them often. The grown-up world is waiting for them and although they think they know everything, they are in for some big surprises. Their confidence and personal preference should be obvious in these portraits. Let them do this portrait session just the way they want… right down to their favorite pair of shoes!
