CHOOSING YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER: Every photographer has a unique style and personality and it is important that you like both! We treat a wedding as a story and create a myriad of photographs throughout the day. Our posed portraits have style and character (no boring photos please) and our journalistic/candids have lots of fun energy or touching emotions. The goal is to create a series of images that will portray your wedding day and preserve so many of those precious moments.

 

YOU WILL NOT FEEL RUSHED: It is important to us that you enjoy your wedding day fully so we will work on a plan for the day that allows you to enjoy each minute and not be rushed from one event to the next.

YOU WILL HAVE FUN AND LOOK WONDERFUL:  We are well aware that not everyone enjoys being in front of the camera so we will do everything we can to put you at ease. We want you to feel comfortable so you will look your best in the portraits!

WEDDING DAY PORTRAITS EXPECTATIONS: There are specific times at weddings when we are creating posed portraits and need to direct family members and the wedding party to go to certain places and pay attention during important moments, but the rest of the day is full of candids and journalistic images. These portraits are the ones that will show the emotions of the day and they will be the ones that create the photographic story. We will create a large variety of portraits, some color, some b&w, some posed, some candids... a great selection for your albums, friends and family!

WE WILL BE DISCREET: Many of our clients have commented on how wonderful their portraits are and how their guests have mentioned that they never even saw the photographer. This is because we know when to control things, such as doing group portraits, and when to photograph things just the way they are happening, such as the cake cutting, etc. It is our intention to capture the special moments that comprise the day, not to steal attention away from the Bride and Groom.

OUR WONDERFUL VARIETY: When you look through the portraits at the studio you will see a variety of images, such as babies, families, children, sports, nature, commercial, etc… the reason for this variety is because we are photographic artists. Our specialty is designing portraits with beautiful lighting that captures the true feeling of the moment. This understanding of light helps enable us to create beautiful images at weddings. This variety also keeps our portraits looking original, interesting and keeps us excited about what we do. This means that we do not fill our year with every wedding possible. We want our work to be unique, beautiful and emotional so we are careful not to overload our schedule.

ALL WEDDINGS ARE WELCOME: Whether you are planning a large or small wedding, we will help you plan your photography around your needs and desires. Make sure to tell us all of your ideas so that we can create portraits that you will always cherish and on the day of your wedding, you can relax knowing that your photographer is going to do exactly what has been planned… leaving you to enjoy the moments in confidence. Although our studio is based in Raleigh, NC, we are accustomed to traveling out of town for weddings and other events. Our collection prices do not cover travel expenses for going out of our home area because we do not think it's fair for every client to pay for this service when only a select few actually have out of town events so if your event is out of town, be we will discuss reimbursement with you for the real cost of travel and lodging.

EXPERIENCE DOES COUNT:   Photographing weddings since 1989 has given us lots of experience in all types of lighting situations and locations to ensure you professional and beautifully lit portraits. Our established studio operates on a full-time basis with a professional staff. Remember, you are not only choosing a photographer for your wedding, you are also choosing a photographer that is available for your engagement and bridal portraits, someone that will meet with you at every point of the planning and delivery, an experienced person to oversee all orders that you place, talented designers to work with your portraits and albums, and a photographer that will inspect everything you receive.

 

REAL TIME INVOLVED FOR A WEDDING: So many people believe that a photographer only works for 4-8 hours at a wedding and then we are finished, however, working with is time consuming and detailed. There is an average of 7 hours of production that is required for each hour we spend at a wedding. Needless to say, we will be working with you and your portraits for many weeks prior to and following your wedding.

QUALITY & BACKUPS: We use the finest products for camera equipment, film, processing chemicals, portrait paper, disc, files, inks, frames, folios, and albums to ensure that your portraits will last as long as possible. We have backup equipment and photographers in case of any problems and we carefully plan your wedding to cover all details and help prevent problems on wedding day.

WEDDING PRIORITY: If we reserve your day on our calendar, you can rest easy that we will not be arriving late or in a hurry to leave, because we will not plan anything else on that day. You just have to tell us what you want and we will be available. Our goal will be to create the images you want in an artistic way that captures the true look of the day!
